I am not usually a person who makes New Year's Resolutions. However, this year is different. I have discovered through reading other blogs and talking to colleagues at work, I am severely lacking in the time for myself department. I like to blame it on Jake's schedule, but for my health, I cannot afford to do that any longer. Below are my resolutions. Hopefully by writing them down, I will be more likely to achieve my goals.
1. Become a runner by the end of the year. This gives me a long time frame, but I plan to start tomorrow. So I am staying up late typing this...Not a good way to start. :o
2. Read more. I have always loved reading, but after having children, I fell off the reading wagon. Jake got me a Nook and I plan to use it!
3. Spend more time outside with my children. My parents so wonderfully got my children a playset for Christmas. Jake's dad so wonderfully put it up for us while we were in Virginia.
4.Spend more time with Jake. We don't carve enough "us" time out. Our children and other family come first.
I would like to say that I will definitely be better about standing up for myself, but that is really difficult for me. I am not very good with words. Tact is not something that God blessed me with. However, I am slowly becoming better. Maybe next year's resolution. Now, I am heading to bed so that I can get up and start on my first resolution. Good night, all!
